Appcon is the first event designed to introduce the best Ethereum applications and experiences to a non-crypto audience.

It takes place at the Milan Design Week—the biggest annual design event in the world— which attracts visitors globally.

Each day will spotlight a unique theme or activity, ensuring a dynamic and engaging experience for attendees.

• All-day: App Stands & Interactive Demos
• 10:00 - 13:00: Workshop and activites on the Theme of the Day (topics like decentralization, identity, creativity)
• 14:00 - 17:00: Talks and Workshops from industry experts, designers and entrepreneurs
• 17:00 - 19:00: Happy Hour (informal networking with gadgets and prizes)

Event details

Appcon is free of charge to maximize attendance, especially among non-crypto visitors.

After a quick onboarding, attendees discover Ethereum and its capabilities, while exploring a curated selection of applications through hands-on, interactive experiences.

Key features include:

• App Booths: Discover cutting-edge applications and gather direct user feedback.
• Education and Onboarding: Learn about Ethereum with bite-sized content accessible to new audiences. Distributed across the venue and experiences in order to be easily digestible and not overwhelming.
• Interactive Experiences: Hands-on demos to highlight Ethereum’s unique capabilities.
• Talks & Presentations: Learn about the ecosystem through expert-led sessions.
• Café & Store: Enjoy food, drinks, and merchandise at the venue, as well as at partnering businesses in the area—all payable with Ethereum wallets.
• Networking Zone: Connect with peers during lunch and happy hour, while discovering Ethereum.

The Location

Appcon will take place in Milan’s vibrant Isola District, at the center of BAM park — one of the highest traffic areas in the city.

Venue - The Park

Appcon will have a space of 150 sqm dedicated to the top apps and experiences, as well as related design and art pieces.

Outdoor, we onboard passersby onchain with our wallet partner, host public talks about Ethereum on the staircase, sell food and drinks with crypto in the patio, and welcome them to the main experience.

Why Milan?

Milan is a global hub of innovation, culture, and design—the ideal stage for introducing Ethereum to new audiences.

Hosting Appcon during the Milan Design Week, Europe’s largest design and innovation event, provides great exposure to a diverse international audience, largely of non-crypto users. This setting creates a unique opportunity for participants to engage and gather valuable feedback from a dynamic and varied crowd.

In collaboration with Isola Design District, Appcon is an official event of the Design Week. This will guarantee extensive coverage throughout the week, ensuring a strong online and offline presence across Milan’s vibrant design ecosystem.

The core Appcon team is also based in Milan, which facilitates logistics and local partnerships. By establishing a successful model, we aim to replicate this initiative in other global locations, expanding Ethereum’s reach and accelerating its impact.
